£12 for the whole year (£1 per month)
What do I get for joining?
You get a personal profile on our website displaying various photographs. There is also an option for families to have their own profile on the site. The people who browse our site are; Casting Directors, Directors, Photographers, Make-up Artists, Producers and Stylists.
Do I need any previous experience?
No experience is required but patience is as some of the shoots can be quite lengthy. Long days are not unusual for adults however it’s a pretty relaxed way to earn some extra cash and have some fun. You are always very well looked after on set as clients provide tea, coffee, biscuits, sandwiches, breakfast and lunch.
What kind of work would I be doing?
A mix of extra work and character modelling within the advertising sector.
How much would I get paid and what are the hours?
£80-150 per day for extra work, which can be up to 12 hours work. £50 - £300 per day for character modelling. Average day is 4-8 hours. Kids rates are half of the Adult rates but the kids are only there for a fraction of the time that the adults are required by law. A chaperone fee is also allocated to the parent or guardian of the child. This is usually approximately £50.
I know what extra work is but what’s ‘character modelling’?
It’s when you take on the role of a character like a Bank Clerk, Doctor or a Chef for a photographic advertising campaign. The other kind of modelling is called ‘fashion modelling’. There are specific agencies that specialise in this area but they usually have very strict entry requirements.
What kind of notice would I receive for extra work?
Anything from 1 day to 3 weeks. Some jobs can be very last minute. Child Artistes usually receive more notice in order to obtain a child license which is required by law.
Would I need to take specific clothing?
Every job is completely different from the last so the wardrobe requirements vary. We always give you as much wardrobe info as we get from the client. The standard requirements are no logos, bright colours or hard-soled shoes. As an extra you are trying to blend into the background.
What happens if I refuse to take a job?
Nothing. You pick and choose your own work. You do whatever suits you. However, if you accept a job and do not turn up then your profile will be deleted from our site and we will not offer any more work. We cannot let our clients down. We represent you but in turn you represent the Agency.
